Which tier you actually need
The honest version: most agencies overpay at the start and underpay later. Start where your current work sits, not where you hope to be.
| Tier | What it unlocks | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Starter, $97/mo | 3 sub-accounts, unlimited contacts and users, and the full CRM, funnel, workflow and calendar toolset. | You run your own business or a couple of clients and do not resell the platform. |
| Unlimited, $297/mo | Unlimited sub-accounts, rebilling of phone and email without markup, and basic API access. | You are an agency adding clients regularly and want your own branding on the platform. |
| Agency Pro, $497/mo | SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with markup, and advanced API access. | You are selling the platform itself as a subscription rather than selling services. |
Set the account up in this order
- 1
Create the agency account
Start the trial and complete the agency profile. Do this before touching any sub-account, because branding cascades down.
- 2
White label the domain
Point a subdomain such as app.yourdomain.com at HighLevel before clients ever log in, so they never see the default URL.
- 3
Create a template sub-account
Import your snapshot here first. This becomes the master you clone from, rather than importing separately for every client.
- 4
Register A2P before you need it
Campaign registration takes days, not minutes. Start it on day one or your first client launch will stall waiting for SMS.
- 5
Verify a sending domain
Add DNS records and warm the domain gradually. Sending a full campaign from a cold domain is the fastest route to the spam folder.
- 6
Connect Stripe
Needed for any build that takes payments, deposits or subscriptions, and it takes two minutes.
Mistakes worth avoiding
- Importing a snapshot into the agency account instead of a sub-account.
- Leaving A2P registration until the day of the client launch.
- Sending the first campaign from an unverified domain.
- Skipping the white label domain, so clients see a URL that is not yours.
- Building directly in a client account instead of cloning from a template.
- Upgrading to Agency Pro before you have anyone to resell to.
Common questions
Something not covered?Email usand a person replies.
Do I need a paid plan to import a snapshot?
You need an agency account, and the trial qualifies. Importing works during the trial, so you can test a full build before committing.
Which plan do your snapshots require?
Any agency plan. The only exception is a small number of products that use SaaS-mode features such as automated provisioning, and those are flagged on the product page.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, in both directions. Your sub-accounts and builds are unaffected by the tier change, though sub-account limits apply if you move down.
Do you get a commission if I sign up?
If you sign up through an affiliate link on this site, yes. It does not change your price, and it does not change which tier we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure.
What does HighLevel cost?
As of August 2026 the published plans are Starter at $97 a month, Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497, each with a 14-day free trial and roughly two months free on annual billing. Enterprise is quoted individually. Email, SMS, phone and metered AI usage are billed on top of every plan. Always confirm against HighLevel's own pricing page, because these figures move.
